The local legends states that Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea, founded this small town with the main road named Via Positea. Romans built beautiful villas and began settling in Positano around 100 years B.C.

Capri is an island located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in Italy.. It has been a resort since Roman times and is known for its stunning natural beauty and attractions such as the Blue Grotto.
To get to Capri, you have several options. We took a 55 min ferry from Naples to Capri. There is also a private water taxi you can book.

Transportation:
When you get to the port, the easiest way to our hotel is to get in the taxi line. You can definitely pre-book hotel transfer with your hotel ahead of time.
There are luggage porter service that will bring your luggage to your hotel for you. It will cost you 15 euros a bag
We found a taxi that will fit both our luggage and ourselves. It took us to the main part of town and we walked to our hotel, through the square, with our luggage.

We took a ferry from Capri to Positano. It was only 30 minutes long!
Once we got to the port, which was right along the beach, we definitely used the luggage porters because our airbnb was higher up on the hills. Walking through the steps with luggage would be exhausting. It was only 10 Euros per bag.
