The British Virgin Islands, part of a volcanic archipelago in the Caribbean, is a British overseas territory. Comprising 4 main islands and many smaller ones, it's known for its reef-lined beaches and as a yachting destination. The largest island, Tortola, is home to the capital, Road Town, and rainforest-filled Sage Mountain National Park.
January 2022
We spent the NYE 2021-2022 sailing in the BVI. Reaching the islands of Tortola, Cooper island, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, and Garden Bay Tortola.
Tortola
We started out sailing from Nanny Cay Marina. We set our first sail to Norman Island or anchor at Bight Bay. Dingy to these two famous places:
Willy T's Bar-Floating restaurant and bar
Pirate Bright Restaurant
Cane Garden Bay is the north side of Tortola
Bannakeet restaurant for the best food + views at sunset
Virgin Gorda
On Virgin Gorda island is The Baths, a labyrinth of beachside boulders.
Hike to the top of the baths for a Painkiller at sunset =)
Dinner at Coco Maya
Slightly North of Virgin Gorda
Leverick Bay
Bitter End Yacht Club
Saba Rock- Best sunset views!
Jost Van Dyke
Little Necker
Sandy Cay
Diamond Cay for the Bubbly Pools
Foxy Taboo
New Years Eve was spent at FOXYS!
Soggy Dollar!! Where the infamous Painkiller resides.
